Nine years ago, Ford Genk closed its doors for good. For many, it marked the end of a chapter for Guy, it was the beginning of a new story. In search of a fresh challenge, he joined Yontec, where he has now been working for almost a decade as a dedicated maintenance technician. In this interview, Guy talks about his career path, his transition to Yontec, and why he now truly feels at home as a Yontec employee.<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What convinced you to start working at Yontec?<\/strong><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Guy: “My career started at Ford, and when it closed, I began looking for a new challenge. That\u2019s when Davy and I met, and we had a very pleasant, warm, and reassuring conversation. I immediately felt that I was still valued and that I could make a meaningful contribution. And that\u2019s how it happened.”<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Would you also describe the company culture as pleasant and warm?<\/strong><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Guy: \u201cAbsolutely. The interaction with colleagues is fantastic. We don\u2019t work together with many colleagues on a daily basis, but when we do get together, at a barbecue or during a Yontec Caf\u00e9 the atmosphere is always great. Experiences and anecdotes are always shared, and certainly not just about work!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How would you describe your contact with management?<\/strong><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Guy: \u201cFantastic. I\u2019ve never really seen Davy as my boss, he\u2019s more like a friend. We communicate and consult well with each other on a professional level, but also in a more personal, informal way. He\u2019s always ready for a coffee and a chat.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Guy: \u201cThere are many great moments. We regularly organize a Yontec Caf\u00e9, but also sports events. We go bowling, and we have the big family brunch, which is always perfectly organized. The bond between colleagues and management is truly exceptional, phenomenal.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
